President: Gene Frogale, Annandale Millwork & Allied Systems
Gene Frogale is the President of Annandale Millwork and Allied Systems Corporation, which has been a family-owned business since its inception in 1952. Together with his brother, Rob Frogale, Annandale Millwork supplies structural building components, windows and exterior doors, prehungs and trim and high end architectural millwork to home builders and multi-family builders. Gene’s role within the company is creating new business relationships as well as maintaining exceptional relations with existing customers. He is a Senior Life Director at NVBIA and serves on the Executive Board. Gene received double majors in History and Philosophy at Williams College in Massachusetts and earned his EMBA at George Mason University.
1st Vice President: Soledad Portilla, Stanley Martin Homes
Soledad Portilla is a Land Acquisition Manager at Stanley Martin Homes. Her responsibilities include new deal sourcing and acquisitions as well as shepherding projects through the development process. Soledad has over 10 years of experience in real estate development and management. She hold an MBA in Real Estate and Finance from The George Washington University and a B.S. in Finance from the San Francisco de Quito University. Soledad is a founding member and former co-chair of the Women in the Building Industry Committee and is also a past president of the Fairfax-Arlington-Alexandria Chapter. she currently serves on the Board for HomeAid Northern Virginia.
Treasurer: Howard Katz
With more than 25 years’ experience in planning and development, he has been involved in all facets of the homebuilding process, including initiating and negotiating new acquisitions, managing the land entitlement and development process, reviewing product sales of direct competitors for market share and target market opportunities as well as sales and construction operational duties. He has participated in the NAHB Senior’s Housing Symposium, lecturing on active-adult infill. Earlier in his career, Howard worked in local government planning, as a planning consultant and for private developers. A native of Maryland, Howard earned both his B.A. in urban and environmental studies and Master of Community Planning degrees from the University of Maryland.
Secretary: Jason Crismon, Toll Brothers
Jason Crismon is an Area Sales Manager for Toll Brothers, Inc. He has 19 years of experience in the construction industry and has been involved in sales, purchasing, land development, acquisition, construction and customer service. He has a Bachelor of Arts in Public and Urban Affairs from Virginia Tech. Jason is also the past president of the Prince William Chapter. He looks forward to working with fellow members to help solve the labor shortage and housing affordability that we face as an industry.
