Meet Sarah Foster with Hall Mechanical

August 24,2021

Sarah, please tell us about your company.Sarah_Foster_Hall_Mechanical

Hall Mechanical has been a trusted residential new construction plumbing firm in our region since opening its doors in 1991. Today, 30 years later, we appreciate the respect and enduring relationships we’ve forged within our building community. It’s both our longevity and status that make me most proud to be a part of the team at Hall Mechanical.

When and why did you join NVBIA?

My joining NVBIA in early 2019 was a natural extension of my work with Hall Mechanical. As a company, we’ve been an active NVBIA member since the mid-90s.

What is the value of NVBIA to your company?

NVBIA is THE organization for builders and subcontractors within our region. It’s a place to meet, collaborate and learn. What more is there to say? It’s a must-join organization!

How are you involved in the association?

I was so excited to learn about (and immediately join) The Women in the Building Industry at the 2019 Meet the Builder event! In early 2021 I became the Chairman for WBI’s PR/Communications Committee. I am also on the NVBIA Retention Committee, and volunteer at many NVBIA events. The WBI and NVBIA as a whole offer incredible resources and opportunities to meet people – I have made not only great contacts, but also great friends.

What is something you would say to a future member about NVBIA?

Jump in with both feet! Volunteer. Get involved. Go to events. Join a committee. The opportunities are endless and all are rewarding. What you put in you’ll get out tenfold.

When you have 30 minutes of free time, how do you pass the time?

I’m a life long equestrian. 30 minutes of free time often sees me taking my horse for a gallop through the woods.

What is your favorite quote?

The harder you work, the luckier you get. Gary Player

If you were stuck in a TV show for a month, which would it be and why?

That would be Outlander! I am fan of historical fiction and the way the show’s creators have woven history (late 1700s) with drama, romance, and time travel is enthralling. I love the acting, costumes, dialog, and storylines that are all set against breathtaking scenery in Scotland, France and early America.
